If you are frustrated with the sterile boredom of modern life and horrified by the thought of a package holiday, there is another way to have some adventure which is particularly suited to the more mature person. The Cheap Way Round
2008
A trip around the world in an old motorhome. If all works out well the route will be via North America, Korea, Siberia, Mongolia, The Stans, Caucasus, Turkey, Syria, Jordan & Europe

Trans Asia in a Transit
2007
A journey from the UK to Mongolia in a couple of old Ford Transit vans. The journey of over 8000 miles passed through 10 countries and 8 time zones.

Plymouth to Banjul Challenge 2005
Crossing the Sahara Desert to The Gambia in a 20 year old Mercedes which had previously been sold as scrap, and was bought back for the event.

Overland to India
1992
Overland by motorcycle from the UK through Europe Turkey Iran & Pakistan to India Photos only of this adventure as the internet wasn't about then.
