1987 (D reg) Fiat
Ducato Motorhome, believed to be a Holdsworth conversion. It has
a 2.0 litre petrol engine with carburetor.
 |
Aluminum
guard
fitted under the engine to protect the sump and other
vital parts from stones etc. |
 |
The
original
heavy and inefficient gas boiler has been removed from
inside the van, making room for a larger gas bottle to
supply the cooker. Hot water is now generated from a
heat exchanger mounted underneath the vehicle. This has
an outer chamber filled with hot water from the engine
cooling system, fresh water is pumped through inner
cores where heat is conducted from the engine water. |
 |
Air
assistance fitted to the rear axle to take some of the
load off the road springs and shock absorbers. |
 |
Two
additional spare
wheels and tyres are carried on a specially constructed
detachable rack mounted on the tow bar. The rack is
detachable to allow access to the rear doors, and to
reduce vehicle size (and cost) when shipping. |
