The plan in brief

2007 will see a re-run of the famous Peking to Paris challenge.

The Wrinklies plan to travel in the opposite direction & "bump" into the rally somewhere in Asia ... probably the Gobi Desert ... probably not!!

If that happens & vehicles/drivers are still going, who knows where they might end up.

JANUARY 1907

In a article in the French newspaper Le Matin the editors raised a challenge to the world:

...We ask this question of car manufacturers in France and abroad: Is there anyone who will undertake to travel this summer from Paris to Peking by automobile? Whoever he is, this tough and daring man, whose gallant car will have a dozen nations watching its progress, he will certainly deserve to have his name spoken as a byword in the four quarters of the earth...

In 1907 eleven men set out to take the newly-born automobile on an adventure across two continents and over deserts and through swamps. Would it be up to the challenge?

THE REST IS HISTORY

then

100 YEARS LATER

On the 23rd April 2007 - St George's Day - four wrinkly men will set out to take two very tired Transit Vans from England to China on an adventure across two continents and over deserts and through swamps. Will they be up to the challenge?

THE REST IS A MYSTERY
